Adding some board mechanics and fixing some goofs.

Minis originally missing stick input now have it and deadzone is increased on menus. Deadzone will be editable later

BOARD

changes:

  • Horror Land:

teleporter now moves players in the way of the warp

key gates installed

darkness lamp event added

more item shops added

king boo event added

  • Tropical Island

thwomp tolls installed

  • Domino Ruins

layout changed to include key gate to access non-canon path

chance time added behind key gate

removed 1 happening before boo space junction to mitigate death loops

  • Starlight Sanctuary:

Happening near bottom right removed

Shop and happening positions at top of map swapped

  • Towering Treetop:

added Woody and Warukio events

battle spaces removed

  • If a junction’s path is inaccessible for whatever reason, the junction will no longer prompt to go that way
  • item bag is now removed from play if item inventory limit is set to 1 item
  • Blue team is now on left side of 2v2 minigames
  • Mini shroom removed from play

fixes:

  • fixed charity event occuring despite player not having coins to give away
  • towering treetop: added missing star spawn near top left shop
  • fixed ai selecting status effect as a usable item
  • fixed bug that let you open minimap while board map transition was playing
  • Tycoon Town: added missing descriptor for happening that steals from hotels
  • fixed ability to end match early on final turn or during bonus star distribution
  • game can no longer be paused during fade out to minigame
  • fixed softlock where ai wouldn’t continue the plunder chest prompt when stealing a high tier item

MINIGAME

changes:

  • block drop: buffer system added for less strict execution
  • reverse a bomb: buffer system added for less strict execution
  • leaf leap: ai nerf, reaction multiplier increased (0.1x > 0.2x)
  • opponents will be transparent on non-bump splitscreen minigames (i.e what goes up, speedrun)
  • UFO Catcher: small sound queue added for ufo appearance

fixes:

  • Stick support added to all minigames missing it (i.e iron cannons, shock absorbers, etc)
  • Dodgeball: deadzone for aiming increased
  • Reverse a bomb: fixed issue where player could get hit while in i-frames
  • Manic mallets put into mashing minigame playlist
  • Bomb rally ring hidden when game is finished
  • Fruit forecast: ties now tie properly and doesn’t give everyone coins
  • Time Bomb: Ticking sound now pauses when game is paused
  • Time Bomb: fixed ticking not being affected by volume sliders
  • UFO Catcher: fixed all players winning if no one presses anything

ETC

  • auto tap added when scrolling in menus
  • stick deadzone increased across most menus to eliminate snapback, notably:

party mode / minigame mode menus

junction selections

all prompts on the board (i.e boo, star purchase)

  • pause menu added to tournament mode menu to prevent accidental exits
  • pause menu now fades in to mitigate strobe effect
  • more buttons can be pressed to identify controller on menus


Hotfix v35.1

  • Fixed blur effect that could happen when pausing during splitscreen minigame

  • Creepy Cavern: Added 3 missing star spawns

  • E Gadd’s: Add missing star spawn near left teleporter

Spinner star spawn still missing

  • Horror Land: Added 3 missing star spawns

+ Minor Update

  • Think Ahead: 5s timer added to prevent stalling during turn

  • Boo coin steals now scales based on turn number

Start range (8-15)

Endgame range (15-30)

Still no mashing though

  • Star spawns now cycle through an order randomized at the start of a match

  • Freeplay mode 2v2s now sets P1 to left team

Hotfix v35.1.2

  • Fixed goof where first turn would start with items on the board
  • Stampede: Penalty for missing increased (-2 > -3)
